"NEW" World Championship "Handcrafted" MUSKIE Lure Contest
The 2012 Milwaukee Expo is pleased to announce the addition of the First Annual Hand Crafted Musky Lure Building World Championship. The competition will highlight hand-built, original lures that are made by talented lure artisans from all over the world. There has been a lot of interest regarding custom lures in angling circles as well as internet forums, especially the unbeleivable paint jobs which are worthy of being placed in art studios.
The competition will consist of 3 categories including: topwater, crankbait, and glide/jerkbait. The competition will also consist of 3 divisions within each catagory including manufacturers, professional/basement, and amateur for a total of nine winners. Winners of the competion will be chosen by patrons entering the musky show which will be given a judging form including criteria. Patrons will pick the lure they like best. After the results of the competion have been tallied, the winners will be announced and the one-of-a-kind lures will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. All proceeds from the entries and auction will be donated to a charity that will benefit musky fishing, NPAA. Entrants interested in being part of the competition can obtain an entry form from the Milwaukee Expo website.
This competition will ignite the specialized hobby of custom lure making and will open up new avenues for these very talented artists.
